Trunks & Leaves is a 501(c)3 nonprofit registered in the United States, created in 2011.
Our mission is to foster evidence-based conservation of wild Asian elephants and their habitats through science, education and advocacy. We are looking for ways to safely sustain elephants alongside people, on an increasingly crowded planet.
Asian elephants are intelligent and highly social animals. Unfortunately, they are today classified as endangered because ongoing pressure from hunting and habitat loss. The designs on these items are derived from photographs taken by researchers over more than a decade. They also feature original artwork by Trunks & Leaves' founder, who continues to have a passion for creativity despite her role as a conservation scientist. We hope you enjoy these products, and feel good about supporting this cause. They also make elephantastic gifts!
